There is no courage without fear. Discover peace within the drive.
You work hard at everything you do. Sometimes you feel like an imposter, other times you feel like no one understands your vision. You are proven right time after time, but no one acknowledges your insight. They think you have it all together and you feel like each win was a stoke of luck.
You know you “should” feel satisfied, safe, maybe even joyful, but these feeling always seem just out of reach. You are terrified people will see the anxiety bubbling underneath or the past you are trying to keep locked away, under the floorboards of your mind.
You want to relax, but can’t let others see you take a break.
Therapy is a place to put these burdens down, sort them out, and find real solutions to the thoughts and feelings that seem to plague you at the worst possible moments.
Realize your vision. Explore your potential. Enjoy all you have built.
You are driven, motivated, and let’s be honest, intense. You are often the smartest person in the room, or at least most skilled at seeing what needs to be done and executing. That responsibility comes at a high price to your emotional life. Perhaps:
you have neglected things at home or have neglected your own needs for too long.
a difficult past keeps sneaking into your day, robbing you of peace and balance.
you are at a crossroads with your business and home life and need to make a change.
Whatever is bringing you here, my job is to help you unpack what is keeping you stuck and help you repackage it in a way that serves you instead of blocking you. I know when to step in and show you the distractions and conflicts and when to step out of the way for your own brilliance to shine. I know the stressors of business ownership, being driven, creative, and finding relaxation in engagement, not “balance.”
WHAT WE’LL DO TOGETHER
Counseling for executives & entrepreneurs can help you:
Identify your values
What truly drives you? You have a vision and values that make your work and life meaningful and satisfying. Maybe you have strayed from these or need a new approach. Knowing what truly “lights you up” is the first step in balancing the intense demands of your work with finding intense joy in your life.
Address you narratives
We all have stories we have learned about ourselves and the world. Some of the stories are useful, accurate, and move our lives in the direction we want. Others are old, outdated, and no longer serve us. Addressing these inner scripts skillfully can fundamentally change how we approach the most difficult tasks with greater focus, ease, and creativity.
Prioritize your needs
Taking care of your mind and body is the foundation for being able to lead, create, and explore in all aspects of life, especially with demanding work. Sometimes that means acknowledging past pain that needs to be processed and transformed, especially if that pain is keeping you from feeling real satisfaction, peace, focus, and meaning.
Common questions about counseling for executives & entrepreneurs
-
Anxiety can feel motivating, but research shows us consistently that anxiety tends to impede focus, memory, productivity, and peace, especially over time. Feelings of confidence and ease help with being clear-headed and increase motivation. While there are no guarantees of how therapy will help you grow and change, we will always collaborate to assure we are keeping your goals and values at the forefront.

I get this question often. Skilled therapy focused on healing the past respects the speed that the mind and body is willing to go. We have well-established techniques for containing difficult material and slowly processing that in a way that allows you to leave the session feeling grounded and more aware of how the past is affecting you. We will always attempt to get you “back to baseline” before the end of the work and also keep in mind your schedule and needs for that week. Therapy is collaborative and you alway have the freedom to pump the breaks which is based in wisdom that will always be respected.

Not necessarily. ACT is a present-focused therapy that examines current ways of thinking and acting in order to move one’s actions, thoughts, and feelings into alignment with one’s values. Finding meaning, peace, and satisfaction can often be accomplished without delving too far into old wounds. If that isn’t possible, or inefficient, we can always shift to looking at the past, collaboratively making that decision.
